I was unemployed and had no TV at the time. A friend called me at like 9 in the morning and told me to get to a TV set because one of the towers was on fire. By the time I got to my parents' house 20 minutes later the second plane had hit and the WTF had officially begun.

It would probably be, like, the 3rd story, nationally. Because, you know, it's not New York.

I was in my dorm room here at UNL. I had just gotten up and was in the process of getting dressed and/or making coffee. My sister called me to say she had heard a plane flew into the Twin Towers. I quickly flipped on the TV and all hell broke loose. The 2nd plane hit the tower and reports of multiple hijackings were all over the airwaves.
I had to explain it all to my other sister who was taking some Education classes for her Master's Degree and lived in an International Residence Hall full of scared arabic and asian folk.

Maybe the best socio/political satire ever. Yes, even better than The Daily Show has ever been.

Louis CK has a hilarious joke about how soon after 9/11 it was appropriate to masturbate, and the punchline was something like: I got one off in between the tower's going down...lolz

Speaking of time-travel... But I do suppose you could have meant cmj.com/bb.

I was in attendance at the first Daily Show after 9/11. It really, really wasn't funny at all.

and the best commentary on 9/11 remains David Foster Wallace's "The View From Mrs. Thompson's".

It usually goes off at 11 here. Maybe they moved it to noon in honor of the day...
