Has anyone else picked this up yet?

So far I've been really impressed - there is more of a storyline compared to other guitar hero/rock band games I've seen. Basically you follow the band through their career, from Hamburg onward, unlocking songs in a roughly accurate timeline. It includes both hits and b-side fare, for instance I Wanna Be Your Man which Lennon/McCartney wrote, but I believe gave to the Stones since it was deemed too outrageous for them to record.

My kids and I are playing it together as a "band," and we've agreed that we won't play it unless we're all present to continue our game. So far I've been able to keep up on expert level (Call me Ringo) but its been hard at times.

Ringo sang it on With the Beatles, track 4 or 5 i think. That recording featured in Hard Day's Night (the movie, but not the album). He also sang it at the DC concert during the first US visit in Feb. 64, between their first and second Ed Sullivan shows (the one in NY followed by the one in Miami).

Eagerly awaiting my brother's purchase of this. Really going to need to get my own gaming console of some sort soon.

There's an Apple Corps splash before the game starts. Not sure who holds interest in it today though.

Great game, if a bit short. In addition to vocal harmonies (you can now play with 6 people at once), they've added some nice touches to base rock band. If you play on Easy, no-fail is automatically enabled. Triggering star power on drums is easier. And you can now see the track's estimated difficulty for your instrument on the difficulty selection screen.

The 45 songs are well-chosen and nicely highlight the band's diversity over the years. They aren't terribly hard, but they are fun to play. I'm really looking forward to the releases of Abbey Road, Sgt Peppers and Rubber Soul.

Visuals are striking and the beginning of chapter movies are stunning, although the light show behind the bands psychedelic songs is really distracting.

My only issue is that the content can't integrate with RB2. I'm hoping that RB3 will allow you to import the Beatles tracks, but I'm not optimistic.

All we have for our Wii is two older model guitars...no drums or mics. Would it still be a decent play?

I picked this up on Wednesday and have played or sang most of the songs. Really, really good. The opening animated cinematic is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. It's done partly with anime style cartoons and partly with computer animations. Incredible.

I'm having some friends over tonight to check it out. I've got three mics now and it should really be interesting. The vocal harmonies are done very well and I suspect it will actually teach me a thing or two about proper harmony techniques.

As with all songs I play on Rock Band, the best part is that when I'm playing the game with my fake instruments, I hear different parts of the song that I've never heard before. This game, coupled with the remasters, has sent me blazing up into Beatles nirvana.

I couldn't imagine playing with just guitars. But that's just my opinion and when I play with people, I usually sing or play the fake guitar while I sing. Or play the fake drums while I sing, which is by far the most difficult.

That's the one reason why I don't plan on buying this. I'll rent it once the hysteria dies down, but I'm not a big Beatles fan in the first place and I'd hate to have to swap discs all the time.

I'm not sure what the wii interface is, but it doesn't seem like a mic would be that expensive. I rarely use mine.

I play with a guitar and bass more often than the drums, so I don't think you need the drums to enjoy the game. You'll probably end up picking them up later though.

I read an interview with someone from Harmonix recently and they said that RB Beatles is basically going to be it's own platform and they have no plans to integrate it with other Rock Band games/downloadable content.

Yes, that intro was the best I've ever seen in a video game.

Just wanted to mention that I downloaded the rest of the songs for Abbey Road this weekend and the side 2 medley is one of the funnest songs I've played on Rock Band.
