I must look like Anderson Cooper right about now.

HUH? Dude completed less than 50% of his passes. Threw 1 int and 0 tds, and has arguably the best skill players in the country around him with a great offensive line.

He's one of those who thinks USC won two MNC's this decade which makes him The World's Oldest Living Waterhead.

I missed the second half for a gig. I'm about to watch it on DVR here shortly, and even though I know the final score...I'M NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.

They do have the AP Titles for 2003 and 2004. While one is not a USA Today/ESPN/BCS trophy, it has to be somewhat legitimate since Michigan counts their title from 1997 without being ridiculed.

The difference is that in 1997 there wasn't a system that all the teams had agreed to play under to decide the one true National Champion. So unlike in years past, those AP titles don't mean shit, only BCS titles.

To argue otherwise is to basically endorse what a fucking sham college football is anyways (so much so that other than Georgia, I can't even stand to watch it. A fucking farce)

I'd rather watch Buffalo play James Madison than watch one down of non-Saints football.

Goddamn, Maryland had to beat JAMES MADISON, a team that plays with leather helmets and doesn't use the forward pass, 38-35 in overtime.

Various site Bowl Projections:

http://espn.go.com/college-football/bow ... 009&week=2

http://cfn.scout.com/2/898784.html

Florida vs Texas still seems to be the most popular pick for the BCS game. The Big 10 is down to one BCS team, while in general the Big 12 and SEC are getting two.
My Nebraska Cornhuskers are still being projected into the Alamo Bowl against either Wisconsin or Michigan State. Having beaten Sparty in Pelini's first bowl game, I'd rather play the Badgers or in the Cotton Bowl.

And San Diego State cruising this week. We may have a team this year. We do have a great defense.

Slow down harry. I don't want to rain on your parade because anytime you go into to Knoxville and get a win it's big, but you guys dodged so many bullets in that game it's ridiculous.

UT's D played good enough to win but their Offense is not very good, Crompton threw 3 picks, and you still needed a goal line stand to win. Not to mention the fumble inside your own 5 with under 2 minutes to go that very easily could've been recoverd by UT. This a pretty flawed UT team and Crompton is still a work in progress.

I don't take anything away from UCLA because a win is a win and I really hope they continue to improve and become a year in year out challenger to USC, but I'm not sure UT is the litmus test you may be making it out to be.

God help them against Florida this week.

UCLA's QB's broke his jaw and he'll be out a couple of weeks.

Several questionable calls by those curious SEC officials (c..f Tommy Prothro, 1965) kept it close. That was far from a safety at the end. And Tenn's "not very good" offense did roll up like 500 yards the previous week... and ran into UCLA's strength. They couldn't score in four tries from inside the five... and it wasn't a surprise... Bruin DL and linebackers are going to play on Sundays in years to come.

Also, I am not claiming a BCS placement for this year's team... just that it looks better than the 4-8 version last year. RN's on track to bring us all the way back.

Prince, the QB has been solid and will be missed for four weeks... but the backup, Brehaut, was a huge recruit from HS and was expected to start this year. And the offense, such as it is, is all about running and ball control and letting the defense rest a bit. Our offense is far far behind the defense and losing the QB isn't that much of a hit.

Hey! Gary Barnett was at least as responsible for the mess at Colorado as Neuheisel. In fact, he was terrible... Just, terrible...

Yeah, they pretty much go hand in hand together with guys like Dennis Erickson, but at least the gig is up for Barnett.

Just what every New Yorker wants to see during the Christmas holiday, an irrelevant bowl game played at Yankee Stadium between the 3rd/fourth place Big East team and the 7th Place Big 12 team.
