Is anyone else having problems with the newest version of Firefox? I swear at least half the links and bookmarks I click on don't load the first 2-3 times I click on them. This only started after I downloaded v3.5.3. It's driving me nuts!

I'm still on 3.5.2 for now. Is it just me, or has Firefox turned into a constant update requesting irritant?

For me if I shutdown without quitting Firefox, previous versions of the browser would automatically refresh the last page I was on and this version has yet to do that, I generally get a "Well, this is embarrassing Firefox cannot load your recent pages" error.

Yes though I only use it on the Mac.

I've become less than enchanted with Chrome as well: Basically, I hate everything. All the time.

The only problem I ever have with Firefox is the required plug ins that won't load.

I went back to Opera a few months ago, and while Opera 9 is good for most of what I want, I've twice fallen for the Opera 10 upgrade that sucks balls. I don't have a single browser I like.

I'm on 3.5.2 and I haven't had any major problems with it... though the prior version caused me to go through a big web-browser search to find something better... a search that ended in me using Flock for a while. Thankfully, this has been suiting my needs.

Though, as noted above, most web browsers suck at SOMETHING.

For me, it's gotten wonkier with every update. It locks my machine up occasionally, particularly if facebook stays open for a while, it seems. Takes forever to load now, and the memory leak it's always had gets worse and worse.

Chrome is annoying at things but it annoys me the least so far.

My wife and I are both having the same problems with pages not loading on the first click or two. I wonder if it's related to our internet service, both being online at the same time, something like that.

Either way, it's driving me nuts. I like Firefox normally but this might get me to try something else for a while.

For weeks now when I shut FF off I get stuck on "Not Responding" and have to shut it off with the Task Manager. So I keep turning add-ons on and off to find the problem child. Needing to let it run for extended periods to test this process makes it an even bigger PITA.

Yet for all the problems, NoScript makes it all worthwhile.

I use chrome on my laptop, Firefox on my desktop, and IE at work. They all have issues, but now that I think about it, the one that annoys me the least is IE. Maybe its because the updates are rolled into the OS, so I never see them.

I don't think I'll switch to IE on my personal machines though.

I want to like Chrome but every time I've tried it I find a lot of pages or parts of pages just don't load correctly.

I use Chrome 99% of the time and for the most part, really like it. Does anyone know if the only way to update chrome is through the "wrench" menu and then going to "about google Chrome"? I mean, is there an auto-update notifier that I'm missing somewhere?

You realize that this is because they're making security and bug fixes available to you as they are finished, instead of making you wait a year for their next point-oh release, right? Other browsers are worse because they don't do this.

For those that use Mozilla and have no qualms about stealing / sampling music...

Go to www.skipscreen.com and get the add-in

Even if you don't use the add-in, the search engine is diesel

I had this problem. I'm not positive, but I think the problem was an extension. Removing Adblock and installing Adblock Plus solved the problem.

Or maybe this was the solution to another problem.

Oh man. Firefox 3.5.4 with AdBlock and FlashBlock is fucking dreamy compared to some IE 6.0 bullshit.

Firefox has been freezing up for me lately depending on what sites I'm on, with ESPN being the biggest culprit.
