Probably won't be as enjoyable. After recommending the show to some who just started watching Season 2, there's probably a few too many 'in' jokes from S1. You really need to get to know the characters when they first get introduced.

yeah, so much of the fun is the little things that pop up here and there and make everything so interrelated and the jokes so densely packed. watch the first season first.

yeah it ran opposite Sopranos. I missed the first half of the season before i gave up on trying to catch that crap in real time and putting it in the backseat via On Demand.

I thought last season it was in the same slot as Curb Your Enthusiasm. It used to be in the 9:30 slot on Fox, didn't it? I did the same thing as Cotton - watched AD and then caught up with CYE eitiher On Demand or when they replayed it during the week.

It would really help to watch the whole series in chronological order all the way from the start. Actually, I think this is one of the things that hurts the show, rating-wise. People might give it a chance, & then when they don't know what the hell's going on they say "screw it".

If it makes it back for Season 3 I bet the suits try to make 'em have more stand-alone episodes.

That seems to be the order of the day...

and, yes, AD is best watched in chronological order, but can be enjoyed on their own almost as well...

One of the Fox bigwigs has stepped down...I think she was a supporter of the show, too.

Uh oh.

Is this show really doing THAT badly? It seems like everyone I know watches it. What else would they put on that would do better?

My cable was out on Sunday. I may have to get Bittorrent just to try and get the episode.

It was new, right?

Actually & unfortunately, yes it is. I think it only averages about 6 million viewers a week, & it loses a LOT of viewers out of The Simpsons .

It was the same way for me, but I've been slowly (but surely) converting friends/family/etc. into regular AD watchers as well...

Everyone I knew watched Family Guy, and it got canceled (although, temporarily).

Then again, everyone I knew was in high school back then.

I rented the first season in the middle of the second season.
I loved it so much, that I bought it.
I did'nt want to ruin anything, so I will not not watch any episode of the second season until it comes to dvd.

One of the funniest shows i've ever seen.
