I've got a couple from The GO! Team album:

"We Just Won't Be Defeated" reminds me of "Soulfinger" by The Bar-Kays
"Junior Kickstart" reminds me of "The Horse" by Cliff Nobles

For the longest time I thought "Soulfinger" was "Malt Liquor".

Makes for quite the high school weekend rally song, too.

Clinic's "Earth Angel" reminds me of VU's "Pale Blue Eyes."

That one new Green Day song blatantly steals from Motley Crue "On With the Show" and Brian Adams "Summer of 69" within 90 seconds of eachother....

I've been trying to think of what song(s) they were ripping off ever since I heard that awhile ago on the radio. I heard the Bryan Adams rip but didn't notice the Motley Crue one until just now when I listened to it. I fucking hate Green Day so much right now that I think I'm going to sell whatever cd's of theirs that I have.

One more from The GO! Team (and BY FAR the most bizarre yet)...

"Everyone's a V.I.P. to Someone" reminds me of the theme song from Little House on the Prairie.

I'm sure I can think of about 20+ songs that have used the same chord progressions as that which can be heard in "Glycerine" by Bush. Not that they are the first.

The Moonbabies' song Crime o' the Moon reminds me of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's Our House.

Also, the Clientele's song Since K Got Over Me has a section in the bass line that is very much like the bass line bridge in Waterloo Sunset.

The verses to Nada Surf's "Always Love" have very similar chord progressions to the verses in The Wallflowers' "One Headlight."

"Luna Park" by And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead

is quite reminiscent of

"South City Midnight Lady" by The Doobie Brothers

That little guitar part at 0:15 of Deer Tick's "Houston, TX" reminds me of the little guitar part right at the beginning of "Cover of the Rolling Stone".

"Winter" by the Dodos sounds exactly like "Born on a Train" by Magnetic Fields.

The chorus to U2's "Vertigo" sounds like it should go straight into Kim Wilde's "Keep Me Hangin' On"

Hello hello
We're in a place called vertigo
Cuz you don't really love me
You just keep me hangin' on.

And they already ripped off "Summer of 69" on "Jesus of Suburbia"

After listening to the New Radicals yesterday, his vocal stylings reminded me multiple times of Mick circa Black and Blue.
