It leaked about a month ago and I don't see much talk about this album anywhere. It would be a shame for it to be buried under the rubble.

RIYL... Hmmm, I dunno. Sometimes I hear some Spiritualized influences in there.

the singer's voice grated at my ears. I deleted it.

I'm listening to this right now, coincidentally. Some of the songs are pretty good, but I agree that the guy's voice is a bit annoying.

That's the first time I've ever seen anyone describe an album as "terminal".

And I had no idea if it was negative or positive, either.

round these parts, if an album sucks we just say "terminal", as in terminally ill.

Definitely digging that Girls album. At least the few tracks I've had a chance to to hear a few times.

This is bullshit.

Of course you guys love it.

I mean I guess it's pretty ballsy to write a generic piece of crap and call it "Lust for Life". I wonder if their next album will start off with some retarded doo-wop ditty called "I Wanna Be Your Dog".

I guess their big contribution is to be aggressively mediocre and derivative, even down to their song and album titles and band name. Amazing!

Based on having watched a video of them performing "Lust for Life" live, I was ready to hate the album.

And I don't, really. There are some decent songs near the end, but "Lust for Life" is worthless for a variety of reasons. I guess I'm just ready to lead the backlash brigade on this one because I haven't really taken part in that sort of thing in a while.

Well, everyone needs a cause.
