I really, really want to like Big Mac. I do. But sorry, he's a cheater. And a liar. And he deserves whatever he gets. Which will be nothing. He WILL get into the HOF. His only punishment will be not getting in on a first ballot.

And I think he does deserve to get into the hall. I remember being VERY happy to have his rookie card when he looked like Olive Oil. He was wasn't HOF potential back then, but he was AWESOME.

Dear Jose,

Ya'll DUMB! Yo Daddy!

My 2 cents:

I am a baseball purist. I believe if you have the talent, work hard, and have a little luck you can play MLB. If you do get there and bust your ass to be a better player without any aids then I will respect you. For me, the bottom line is that if you use roids it DOES help you be better and you are cheating not only yourself but the guy who is working hard to do it the right way.

The fact that Bonds caught up to Ruth and Aaron buy having seasons where he regularly hit 60-70 homers and Aaron never hit over 50 in his whole career is why MLB and Barry are a joke.

That being said, looks like Barry's body is failing him for now and I couldn't be happier. His whole "You, you, you, everybody did this to me" is so laughable that it borders on insane.

You're right man. Can you imagine what Barry would have done if it had been HIM up there. His head would have just exploded. I think he really would have just tetterd over into a bottomless abiss that he never would have come back from.

Does any of this really surprise anyone?

I see this as little more than the next step in the slippery slope MLB began in the 50's when it did nothing about its stars who would play the game drunk.

Baseball did nothing in the 70's and 80's when players were cracked to the gills.

So baseball does nothing when players are juiced.

Pete Rose, to my knowledge, did not do anything that would be illegal for a non-baseball citizen to do. He did nothing, to my knowledge, that affected the play of his team, or any other team. Did he break the rules? Yup. Is his punishment proscribed in the rules? Yup. What's the point? My point is why the double standard and the tacit sanctioning of illegal behavior on the part of everyone else. It's like keel-hauling a deckhand on the Titanic because a binnacle may not have been polished properly.

PS: I hope Bonds dies from complications stemming from his years of steroid use, three months after his dick falls off.

Sosa has three seasons of 63+ home runs. McGwire has seasons of 66 and 70.

Bonds doesn't have more than one superlative home-runs season.

Actually, take away the seventy -- or, really, just reduce it by thirty -- and he proves remarkably consistent, a la the Hammer. Plus, BB would still be past his Godfather (673 home-runs, total, if you discount a bit more than a third of the '01 production), and within striking distance of Ruth and Aaron, just one or two more seasons behind.

Dig?

Details dude. You know what I'm saying.

You have a crush on Barry just admit it. You want to run your hands all over his glistening with sweat, roid filled pecs.

Are you really fucking backing this piece of shit up? NO ONE IS SAYING THAT MCGWIRE OR SOSA ARE ANY BETTER. But at least there not babbling to the press about how it's THEIR fault that he legs are goona fall off.

Look into your heart!

Call me old-fashioned, or just call me Strom, but the only negros for whom I reserve sexual fantasy are the Afro-Cuban amazons on the Red Island's Olympic indoor volleyball side.

They are shweet!

Last night , I recalled a column in the Daily News from about 4 months ago (I forgot who wrote it)....The gist was that he had a suspicion, that Bonds knew that his body was on the verge of breaking down, and withthe steroids drama unfolding, he (Bonds) would do something like scheduling artho knee surgery right around spring training to smoke screen all these other little problems that would unfold and have him miss portions of the 2005 season...

seems like he was on the money. I'll try and dig up the article.
