anyone know of any good radio sets that get upped on a regular basis? i'm thinking of the ilk of the BBC Radio One stuff that gets posted in the mix forum from time to time, but not necessarily all dubstep/house/whatev.

like an entire radio show with voiceovers and everything, so i can burn it to a disc and put it in my car and act like i live somewhere other than where i actually live.

(i know there's already been a podcasts thread)

If your name were "Bob Bland" or "Todd Leiter-Weintraub", this disclaimer would stop no one from PopTodding you. Or Neuroing you. That, depending on your perspective.

It's not music, but Harry Shearer's weekly LeShow is better than the Daily Show.

in my defense, that thread seemed to focus on podcasts containing mostly commentary or informational content.

Oh, I'm not saying the Shivs, Fus, Zs (!), & Radcliffes of the world are right, just that they're here, & they are first-class dicks.

I think that show made me hate Harry Shearer.

are you looking for any particular kind of music? or just music in general? I'm not gonna go listen to the Radio One stuff just to get a sense of what you're looking for.

I dunno, have you checked out the WFMU podcasts?

Most of them are probably more "eccentric music" than new hip bands or anything, but there's a lot to choose from. That DJ/Rupture one (Mudd Up!) might be what you're looking for. I listen to the Soul and Gospel ones pretty regularly. There's also the Stones Throw ones, the indiefeed ones, etc... there are thousands, and I don't listen to music anymore, so I'm probably a shitty point of reference, anyway.

Check the music podcasts and the staff selections on itunes and browse around, or go to your favorite radio station and check out what they might offer.
