1. I found last night's show to be of similar quality to the first episode, which is to say we enjoyed it a good bit. "His dad and Superman only have one thing in common: they both landed in this country illegally."

2. I have the sprayer attachment, but I need to change out the toilet supply tube from hard pipe to flexible to be able to attach it.

3. Plain old quilted cotton cloth squares, whatever that is.

this line cracked me up. also, the line about the grizzly bear dying in the passenger seat.

was it explained in the first episode why every family profiled is two parents and one child? what about a family with more than one child? what about a single parent?

No I think that's just how the dice rolled here. At least I don't remember them explaining anything.

You will do what you always do: wait to see what the consensus is and then profess the opposite in the strongest of terms.

Don't need to wait. Radcliffe has informed me that it is Mock Doc style, so I can cross it off the list of things I will consider watching.

man, some of you expect too much out of a tv show. It's mindless entertainment.

If the show is mindless, and expectations for tv should be exactly that low, then what's the point of discussing the relative quality of the humor in the first place?

it certainly is, but i dont count work as free time.

as far as tv, there is quite a lot of quality TV on right now so I think people are right to expect more from it than another recycled sit com.

What on TV right now is quality? Well, other than The Universe.

It's also possible that some people look at the premise and decide it's shit without having seen a second of it, which means they're not going to like it no matter how good it is or isn't. -Which they're welcomed to do, but I don't put a lot of stock in their analysis of it.

edit: and in the interest of full disclosure, if I've watched 2 episodes and enjoyed them both, why do I care, really?

I must be getting old, because I pretty much just watch news, sports, The Soup, and The History Channel these days as there seems to be so much crap on these days.

My wife likes Fringe and Lie To Me, which I guess I should check out at some point.

I thought last night's ep of Modern Family was pretty mediocre too, but it has potential. I thought the whole bike stealing bit was far too drawn out, but I liked some other parts of it.

I like Fringe a lot even if its a total x-files rip off.

Yeah, I'm totally down with it as a former fringe scientist myself.

I'll throw my hat into the mediocre pile regarding Modern Family. I didn't hate it, but wasn't exactly thrilled. Now 'Community' last week had me laughing out loud during their 'Wise Up' montage.
