I actually had a McD's coffee this morning, and this is totally untrue. It was awful.

All I know is last night while getting gas at Sheetz, I got a Tastykake Butterscotch Krumpet latte and I really don't care what that says about my masculinity, because it was really good.

Was it better than an actual Tastykake butterscotch krumpet?

I have to agree. While I consider a good cup of McD's coffee to be acceptable, I find it's wildly inconsistent from one trip to the next and the very best cups aren't nearly as good as Starbucks.

Yes, but mostly because the butterscotch didn't peel off the top with the first sip.

I don't see any masculinity issues with getting some butterscotch cake drink, I just don't see the point in calling it coffee. You want a milkshake, get a milkshake.

Haha, true.

Sheetz actually doesn't have bad black coffee. Everyone around here swears by AC&T (local Exxon station affiliate) coffee, but I think its probably the worst of them all.

My dad is a huge proponent of this place. Apparently they have good sandwiches too (my dad is cheap).

I think being cheap is an important part of being a dad, and I am ready to embrace it.

I'm not anti-Starbucks, nor do I frequent it, but this Starbucks I have right now is one of the worst coffees of my life.

That's about par. I too never get a good cup there, but I'm willing to try again since its been about 1 yr to 1.5 yrs since I tried it last.

The only time I buy coffee somewhere other than "with breakfast at a diner" is on roadtrips to Madison or Atlanta, and it's always at some unspeakable no-name z-grade gas station in like central Ohio or some shit, and the coffee is atrocious, but I need it to keep from killing us all. Otherwise, it's

1. At home, in a fench press, or
2. At work out of a keurig machine

and either way it's fine. I've never ordered a "fancified" coffee drink of any sort, I don't think. Nothing cake-flavored, that's for sure. I don't like anything more than one packet of turbinado in a cup, and all those latte mochachino boyslut drinks are like 5x that much. It makes my teeth furry just thinking about it.

I think all McDonald's in New England get Newman's Own, which is pretty okay for a quick cup on the go.

Yeah Newman's Own makes the only decent-tasting Keurig option available at the office.

Damn. I didn't expect a thread on coffee to have such legs.

Next, a thread on cigars!

Yeah, I think we're starved for stuff to talk about. That and so many obners out of work and nothing better to do.

What is strange is that the new built to spill leaked this morning and it's taken a back seat to a heated discussion about instant coffee, gas station meatball subs, and the inconsistency of macdonalds hot cake drinks.

It hasn't, but our buddy Rory is a big proponent so visits to Pennsylvania always include a WaWa or two.
