You know who else they said would play on Sundays? Brian Bosworth

That celebrating penalty on aj was bullshit, but I thought LSU deserved a safety on cox too. Helluva game.

I texted LooGAR something to the effect of "that penalty will cost us the game" when it happened. You're probably right about the safety: I think Chapas was close enough to the ball to negate the safety in the eyes of the official but the angle they showed on TV made it look pretty bad. Who knows? I'm convinced the refs are all drunk, crooked or both.

Everybody wants to blame UGA's coaches for their various ills, but this one is on the players: the coaches made the adjustments to get them back in the game.

Lotta talent on the field today though and like you say, helluva game. Congrats to your squad.

When does basketball season start???
Was at ACL,and caught part of OU/Miami.
Injuries have kicked our ass,but I saw some dreadful playcalling.
That said,I'm glad Bradford was held out.

I'm sure a Bradford return will have a huge impact on the NU/OU game here in Lincoln, but it gives me confidence knowing that Nebraska controlled V Tech for much of that game and they dominated a Miami team that ended up beating OU.

I woke up this morning with one thought -"when does Saturday get here?" This will be the most useless week of my life, and I will accomplish nothing but reading everything LSU v. Fla related on the internet. Saturday will also be my first time in Tiger Stadium this year, and it has the potential to be one of best ever.

Being in New Orleans the same weekend as LSU-UF two years ago was a lot of fun. (especially flying back to ATL with a bunch of dejected Gator fans)

Little bit form column A, Little bit from Column B. I will literally sell myself into indentured servitude to the University if they will take the God-Damned Shotgun Draw out of the playbook. That, and you need a QB with a real arm to run an effective screen. Those two plays netted -37 yards the 19 times they were run yesterday.

I will say though, that I don't think I'm going back to the regular stands - that luxury box shit is The Truth!

The play where they roll Cox out to the right? (you might as well call the play/formation "Elway" Denver ran it so much) It doesn't work with Cox because A. He isn't very accurate at short distances and B. He's not a threat to run.

How did the Freshman running back they brought in look live? He looked good on TV.

The one I am specifically talking about is the one that they run on 3rd downs -- ran it with Staff, too -- where they line up in a passing formation, and then try to run a draw with the lone set back. I've seen it work once, I guarantee you it is one of our top 3 most run plays in the past 4 years.

Ealey looked pretty damn good. People were wondering who he was...

Hey did I tell you Tom Gugliotta was in the suite with us for the 4th Q?

Oh, I despise that play, almost as much as the 1 yard throw that Donnan used to run on first down.

Was Gugliota there with the janitors cleaning up the suite or selling his mouth to random alums?

He was a little disheveled, badly dressed and definitely "sweaty." He also acted like a jock version of Dev Gallagher. He was totally cool, though. We were just bs-ing and he asked me if I went to UGA, and was like "I went to NC State." Introduced himself as Tom, but I knew I recognized him vaguely. Someone dropped "Googs" on him and I was like "What's your last name?" and he said "Gugliotta." I was like you were a white man scoring machine for the Bullets in the b-ball game for Super Nintendo. He got a laugh out of that.

You know, I don't think Georgia is any great shakes - as evidenced by their performance, but you know people don't respect your program as a whole when you drop from 14 to OUT OF THE TOP 25 for losing in the last second to the #4 team in the nation, who happens to be a conference rival.

Garklahoma on the other hand loses to Miami, is 2-2 and has an unsteady hand behind center, and they stay in the top 25.

While I'm not going to work up too much rage about this, it is some fuck shit.

I'm now in the camp that there shouldn't be any official polls until after week four or conference play has started, and I believe that at this point in the season any team with two losses probably shouldn't be making the polls. Even if a still unbeaten team isn't that great, they deserve to be ranked and ahead of any team with two losses.

I'm not sure why Alabama isn't #1 or at worst, #2. They've got the VT win on the resume and have destroyed everyone else.

But this will be answered this week. Fla's first test, and Bama plays Ole Miss on the road. If Fla loses and Bama wins, I think Bama will ascend to number 1.

They could be the Alabama Talibans and be better than the Gators.

Yeah but then Les will cry that the Tigres aren't number one.

Had they dispatched Kentucky by more than 18 and not given up 20 points, I'd fully agree with you, but they still got to go a bit further to overcome that loss to Utah last year.
Texas has pretty much been anointed as the biggest threat to Florida, and won't lose that spot without losing a game.

Yeah, but you try living in a state where CFB is the ONLY thing ANYONE cares about, and has 2 undefeated teams.

LOMIT!

That must be truly awful. I couldn't imagine residing in Iowa or Kansas and dealing with two unbeaten CFB teams as a Husker fan, and those states aren't half as militant about college football as Alabama.

I finally got to see Auburn play last night: they're pretty impressive.

Are they still running those Jughead Draw handoffs?

They did it often when they beat up Tech, and it was just odd. I was splitting Hogs roughing up A&M with Miami/Oklahoma last night.
