HOLY SHIT GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rare flamingo of mysterious origin spotted in Fla.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Plastic pink flamingos may be all over Florida, but it's rare to find a real one.

It's even more rare to see a variety called the "lesser flamingo," native to Africa and Asia. And that's just what a birder managed to capture in a photo last week in Merritt Island National Refuge.

Experts say it's the first sighting here of a non-captive lesser flamingo, though greater flamingoes are occasionally seen.

The bird appeared to have an identification band on its leg, but no one's sure where it came from.

Some of the nearest flocks are at Walt Disney World, the Jacksonville Zoo and an animal park and zoo in Albany, Ga. But none of those facilities have reported a bird missing.

OMFG

Last night a couple of guys broke into the Calgary Zoo and one of them was mauled by a tiger. He'll likely lose an arm because of the attack.

The part of the story that makes me sick is there's word that he might sue because the zoo didn't adequately protect him from his own drunken stupidity. And if anything happens to the tiger, I'll personally tear off his good arm and beat him with it.

This sounds just about perfectly balanced.

One of the "unharmed"

Apparently the tiger who did it was "one of our most laid-back cats".

An aunt stabbed her 16 year old niece after arguing about laundry.

That brings the homicide tally in Vermont this year up to four.

yeah, plus we lose the youth population anyway, we don't need murder to aid that.
