saw him for a brief minute at le poisson rouge on thurs. actually liked it, but had avoided him til now based on this reputation. he definitely had a different guitarist with him last week...

I watched some twenty minute film about Jay Reatard which is basically just him talking to the camera telling the world all the ways that he's cool.

Don't care about him one way or the other as far as what kind of asshole he is. He's got a few songs I like, but overall lots of his stuff just kinda seems to fall flat. He's one of those I listen to and it always seems like its really close to being really good. I like that album that was a collection of singles best of what I've heard, even though I've not heard all his stuff.

That guitarist should have grabbed the mic and yelled "Now I'm pissed!"

But he seemed a little bit slow witted.

I mean, I dunno. Seemed like it was all part of the show. It would have sucked to be in front row and get pissed on, though. Who cares about the guitarist, what about the audience?

This dude's music is nothing special, btw. That's all that matters here. And he ain't exactly G.G. Allin, either, so I can't really figure out why anyone gives a shit about him.
