Oh weird, I was just thinking about this literally last night. But I can't recall the lyrics in question haha. Give me a minute!

oh shit, ok, I remember. The Goo Goo Doll's song Black Balloon where he sings "or are you someone's prayer." I thought he was singing "you're always someone's past." I don't know if my version is better, but I always really liked it. :)

All this time I've been under the mistaken impression that the line "All these squawking birds won't quit" in The Shins' "Caring is Creepy" was actually "Oh, these fuckin' birds won't quit."

Should have known James Mercer wouldn't resort to such vulgarities.

Apparently it was a lasting impression.

I used to date a girl that thought the words "hits from the bong" by Cypress Hill were "bitch from the mall.....".

the killers, I forget what song it is but I always thought that ending part with the chorus went: I got sober, I'm not a soldier.

Either early-onset Alzheimer's has kicked in, or I need to get the number for Todd's doctor ASAP!

when I was a kid I thought . . .

"there's a rose in a fisted glove"

was "there's a road and a distant love"

In MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This", I thought he said "Crush New Kids, they can't dance!" when it evidently he actually said "Fresh new kicks, advance". Mine is definitely better.
