LOMIT

and, read that movie thread- no one here like movies, man.

I just have to call you on some of the movies in your netfilx queue here:Center Stage, Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist, Brideshead Revisited...

I'm just playing, there are some good titles in there also, you've been slacking on your movie viewing though it seems.

Well, yeah. Watching movies takes something I don't have much of: uninterrupted time.

And Nick and Nora and Center Stage are wife picks.... We have Frost/Nixon and Doubt at the house....we've had them here for close to two months :)

dude, I actually love nick and norah, as far as cute teen romance movies go, its on par with anything John Hughes ever did. plus that scene where *spoiler* gets to finger fuck norah in electric ladyland studios...I mean come on, that's fucking cool...I mean, which one of us in our sixteen year old selves wouldn't want to finger fuck some chick on a couch in that studio...

I used to do that under a poster of Jimi Hendrix. I'd look up at him and he'd wink and say "wiggle that left index, little brother".

imdb says there was an animated version in 1973.

Dalen heard that Polanski was going to produce one with Serge Gainsbourg and Papa John Phillips doing the score, and has pretty much been jackin' it ever since.

I've never read this book either, but my wife says it's great. Regardless, even if I had read the book, it doesn't mean I'd be fired up about a movie based on it.

Doesn't the book have like 7 words?

Been waiting for this to come out forever it seems. Big fan of the book.

Disney was developing a version that actually used some of the technology that was initially used in Tron. It might've preceeded Toy Story had it not been shelved.

The animated version is pretty much just the book's illustrations moving. Its not really "animated" per se.

Eggers just put out This: Image

which is on to-read list. I have big respect for all those involved with this film, so its a win-win for me. I didn't think I'd like the score/soundtrack because of Karen O's involvement, but its actually wonderfully done.

i think it's more like 20, but it's not entirely accurate to say you read the book either. this is a book you look at. you don't win caldecotts because of character development, or whatever. you win them because the books look awesome.

I think he's suggesting you may be more comfortable with traditional female phenotype.
