I'm really enjoying this album. This is my first of hers, so I can't compare it to her previous works.

It reminds me of beth gibbons and rustin man - out of season -- not just the way her voice sounds, but also the minimal production. The production on muscle, bone, and blood is pretty much four chords on the piano, one played each measure.

Very beautiful, and some great songwriting. I love the second track, what if we do? What do ya'll think?

I am really enjoting this one as well - first one of her albums that's really "latched" with me...makes for a pleasant morning commute...

nah, it was m.i.a. and diplo, not mia todd. and they cancelled. I would love to see mia todd, though!

mia doi todd normally bores me to tears, but i just got "la ninja: amore and other dreams of manzanita" and it's super super good, put her songs into a new context for me. its mostly just manzanita remixes by folks like dungen and dntel. its really quality, imo.

Mia Doi Todd is possibly one of the worst shows I have ever been to. she opened for Dungen and kept telling the crowd to be quiet and complaining that people don't talk like this in Europe. It was SO BAD.
