I'd completely forgotten I was at Reading '92.

That tells its own story.

Missed them on the would-be last tour @ the Patriot Center.

Just like the time I could have met Mr. T at the mall. The entire day I kept saying, "I'll go a little later. I'll go a little later." And then when I got there, they told me he'd just left. And when I asked the mall guy if he would ever come back again, he said he didn't know. Well, I'm never going to let something like that happen again! I'm going into space right now!

I saw them right before In Utero came out, and they played just about the entire album. And while the show was amazing, I think I would have better appreciated the songs after I knew the album.

Some facts about the show I saw:

Set
Serve The Servants • Scentless Apprentice • School • Breed • Lithium • Come As You Are • Milk It • Drain You • tourette's • Aneurysm • Very Ape • Blew • Heart-Shaped Box • Rape Me • Territorial Pissings • All Apologies • Polly • Dumb • Something In The Way • Where Did You Sleep Last Night • Smells Like Teen Spirit • Endless, Nameless

Kurt overdosed on heroin minutes before the show, but was revived and able to play.
This was the first show with Lori Goldston on cello.
This was the only show with "Big" John Duncan on second guitar. He played on "Drain You," "tourette's," "Aneurysm," and "Very Ape."
Jesus Lizard were the opening act

Oddly, I still have friends who go and get strawberry milkshakes on the anniversary of his death.

that was the rumor at the time, and is mentioned in every write up of the show. I was not aware of it while the show was going on.
