For those of you not watching the Office Wedding or MLB Playoffs, Nebraska plays at Missouri tonight in a game that may decide the winner of the Big 12 North. The weather is suppose to be terrible with heavy rain and the 8pm start time means the crowd will be drunk and obnoxious. It should be quite the contest with Nebraska as a surprising 3pt favorite on the road.

This game is huge for the Huskers. Any sort of victory and Nebraska may be well on its way to a 10+ win season with limited losses the rest of the way. Another stumble that ends with a blow out loss in Columbia will most likely signal a topsy-turvy 7-5 to 8-4 season.

I hope Nebraska protects that ESPN Thursday Night winning streak it has and ends the losing skid against the Tigers. The Huskers have given up 41+ points in each of the losses this decade.

Husker special teams are killing me right now.
Nebraska has muffed a few kicks and had a bad snap on a punt result in a safety.
The Nebraska Defense jacked up the Mizzou QB and neither offense looks stellar in the rain.
I really hate slow, sloppy games.

Not looking good at the half. Former Husker QB recruit Blaine Gabbert scores a touchdown on a 4th and Goal where it appeared he might have been down before crossing the goal line. It would have been an iffy call had they reversed it in favor of Nebraska, so now they trail 9-0 at the half.

It is painful to watch a stellar defense be completely betrayed by a weak offense and inept special teams.

I can give you a guess where Nebraska is headed if they continue to lose.
They'll be stuck in the Insight Bowl.

I can't be any worse than the guy who worships JIMMY and is a member of the Romosexual coalition.

I'll also try to pipe down once we get to college basketball season.

My hopes are suddenly restored by a big play that results in a touchdown pass. Nebraska still trails 12-7, but at least it won't be an embarrassing shut out loss.

Fucking EH!

Nebraska takes the lead 13-12 after future all-pro Defensive Linemen Suh intercepts a Gabbert pass and the Huskers respond with a short pass play for another touchdown.

Edit: That was also the first interception Gabbert has thrown all year.

20-12. The Huskers defense has taken control with another pick. I fear drunken madness in this town tonight.

27-12 Huskers with a minute left after grinding out a long drive filled with running the ball.
Nebraska remains unbeaten on Thursday night games.

Was there suppose to be a message or image I was to see?

Sam Bradford is going to start for Oklahoma this weekend, so we'll get to see if both he and Tebow are truly healthy again.

I'll just jump in here as another Nebraska fan... that was a HUGE win for this program. It should create the momentum for us to be 7-1 when we host Oklahoma. Pelini, in just 1-1/2 years, has already removed the haze from the Callahan era, and gotten us back to respectability. Now, let's see if we can keep this momentum going.

And yes, as Nebraska fans, we may be a little too obsessed with our football program. But, I wouldn't want us any other way... ;-)

He might be the second coming of Black Jesus, but White America thinks the messiah of College Football is Tebow.

I'm really enjoy the Ndamukong Suh for the Heisman talk. It will be deserving if he continues to completely manhandle opposing offensive lines, lead the team in tackles and create turnovers.

Even if you get past OU & advance to 8-1 in the process, you have this, the very next week, with which to content.

Never gets old.

To be honest, it's one of many things that have come to dwarf the twin underpinnings of Deadspin's rapid ascent (those being Carl Monday: Public Masturbation Tactical Team & Chris Berman's affection for Leather).

I wouldn't quite go that far. Kansas is good, and has Nebraska's number in Lawrence recently, but so did Mizzou. If the Huskers beat an OU team led by a healthy Sam Bradford, they aren't going to have much trouble beating a KU team led by Todd Reesing again.
The Cornhuskers most certainly remember the 73-39 beatdown they took down in Kansas in 2007, and will be utterly jacked for this game no matter what their record will be at that time. Any sort of victory by Huskers over the Sooners will just signify that this team is destined to be in the Big 12 Title game.
BTW, Reesing was sacked five times in the game last year and the Husker D-Line is scary good this season.
