In January and February 2009, Italian director Cosimo Messeri shot a documentary movie about Emitt Rhodes's vicissitudes: life, past, present, troubles and hopes. The movie, untitled for the moment, is in the post production phase.

Robert & Ryan were interviewed by Tony Blass for the upcoming Documentary about legendary musician Emitt Rhodes.
As you may know, Emitt is on the verge of a comeback after not releasing a recording for 35 years. He is currently in the studio working with such artists as Michael Penn and Counting Crows.
Emitt has only recently regained the rights to his music after having given those rights away "in perpetuity" as a teenager through manipulation by record company and management executives back in the day. He was even sued by his record company for failing to deliver 6 albums in three years, a virtually impossible feat for someone who wrote, sang and played all or most of the instruments on his recordings. Such things were rare even back then but would be almost unheard of now.
The film is being directed by Cosimo Messeri, whose father is award-winning actor Marco Messeri. The project is being funded by Angelo Barbagallo of Bibi Film Tv Srl. Timing is relatively tight as filming is scheduled in Los Angeles between January 13th and 29th. Sawyer & Medina are grateful to the Producers and hope their input regarding Emitt and his career would be invaluable to the project.
