Saw them in concert last Summer and liked HoL a lot. Can't say I listen to it much lately though. It's one of those "start to finish" releases.

No band has disappointed me more than the Decemeberists after their debut. I haven't liked one thing since.

i liked it. i'm not very invested in the band though, so i've never had hopes (high, low, or otherwise). this new one won't make my top 20 though. i saw them live years ago and they were very good.

I don't think it's their best but it's on par with their last couple I'd say. I do love The Rake's Song, it's one of their best in a long time.

Im a fan of the song Hazards of Love 4 (The Drowned) on that cd... the rest is ok... ive never really enjoyed an album of theirs from start to finish, but have definitely loved specific songs

This album is terrible. And I was really looking forward to it. I agree with Sanchez - there's usually a couple good songs on an album, but other that the Rake's Song there's nothing I ever want to hear again on this one.
