I picked these two up at Jackpot! and Everyday in Portland this weekend. Had been looking for fairly priced copies for a while. Who is familiar with Sandy Bull? I've been totally enchanted by his sound. He was a NorCal experimental stringed instrumentalist not a far cry from John Fahey, but definitely more simplistic/less virtuosic in his style, leaning further toward exploration of space and reverb in his work, perhaps influencing some of Fahey's later recordings? He was at the vanguard of multi-tracking, often recording all elements of his albums. "E Pluribus Unum", which I listened to late last night fresh off the plane, is comprised of two lengthy instrumental pieces of undulating guitar, bass, oud, and more, all blended with perfect over use of delay. 'Sound offered but not imposed.' Really beautiful stuff that I would recommend to anyone into Fahey, Kawabata Makoto, Tom Carter, etc. I'll post more codes as I track em down:

Awesome. These are all excellent, and different. E Pluribus Unum is blowing my mind right now. Both pieces of it are these undulating psychedelic ephemeral things, but you can grasp at any moment and find something memorable.
