Lovin' the ol' skool R&B sound. You should give a listen if you haven't already. White boy from Detroit, who grew up on the local sounds of his hometown. Definitely worth checking out.

There was a thread on this guy a few years ago, but it mostly consisted of people waiting on this album. I really wore this thing out at the end of the summer/ by the pool, but it's kinda got this temporal quality to it where it seems pleasant while you listen to it, doesn't leave you with much, but you find yourself singing it in the shower days later anyway.

Postmersh mentioned him in some thread a while ago, I think. I had really liked what I heard at the time, but completely forgot to put in on the "to buy" list. Thanks for the reminder.

I liked the album well enough...wasn't blown away or anything, but he's got that mo-town sound down, it's a fun listen.

I really like "Your Easy Lovin..." but I haven't found anything else I like other than that one song, unfortunately.

Hmmmm....just watch a couple things on Youtube.

Not as good a voice as I thought he might have.

We'll see how the album is.

the songs sounded better live than on the album, though i still enjoy the album. his between song banter is deadly boring though.

It's a fragile falsetto.... I'm really into him, but I know a lot of my friends that I thought might be into him aren't.

FYI - The vinyl for the album comes with a 4" single, and has a faux-alligator stamping on the sleeve...

I was pretty skeptical when my friend asked me to go to this show, but he was really entertaining. I don't love the recorded stuff because his voice is pretty bad.
