I'm hoping for Phillies in 7.

I hate these teams but think this has the making of a great one.

Phillies all the way. The Yankees need another WS title like I need another burger.

I'm goin' Phils in 6. Towel from Game 4 of last year's WS already sitting on my shoulder. My kids are big Yankees fans; this should be fun.

Phils in 7. I want this to be a knockdown, dragout war that results in the Phils climbing out of smoky carnage with the bloody foot of the Yankees in their teeth.

also, I want to see Kate Hudson cry. tears of blood.

I'll pick the Phils in 6.

A-Rod getting a ring would be a blight on humanity.

I'm not a fan of back to back champions, and Joba Chamberlain is a hometown boy.

That. Was an awesome performance. I'll go nuts if Pedro pitches even half as well.

McCarver suggested Lee may have been considering letting the ball drop and trying for the double-play on that pop-up. Wouldn't the infield fly rule be in effect, though?

McCarver has a tendency to say stupid things in the booth so I'm wondering if it's just another one of those cases or if somehow the rule wouldn't apply in this case...

I think the infield fly rule only applies if there is a force out at 3rd, because theoretically the batter would have plenty of time to reach base safely if the ball hits the ground. Then Lee would have only been able to get the force out at 2nd and they'd be in the same situation.

Lee's behind-the-back grab was spectacular. He made it look like something he does every day; no big deal.

Phils looked great.

infield fly rule is indeed not in effect with just a man on first.
