I just wish that Oregon had the opportunity to play Boise State again right now - I think that the Ducks would throttle them. The Ducks offense takes time for players to get accustomed to and get rolling (Same thing happened Dennis Dixon's senior year). I agree with Jeramiah Masoli as well, I think the Ducks could beat any team in the country right now.

On a related side note, Oregon's dismantling of USC has had the unintended side effect of making a lot of fans of other college football teams think that USC just sucks and are over-rated - I don't think that is the case at all - I thought they still looked very tough and in many ways played Oregon tougher than some of the last few opponents. A big reason that USC lost to UW earlier this year was because the Huskies coaching staff knows the USC offense and defense so well and they got outcoached.

Agree with this, especially considering Oregon's remaining schedule--at Stanford, at Arizona and OSU. If they win out they should leap frog BSU.

Arizona is a fluke play vs. UW from being undefeated in conference, with a close loss at Iowa early in the year not looking that bad right now. AZ could knock off the Yucks.

We still look sloppy though. Those five turnovers at home vs. a sub-mediocre UCLA aren't going to cut it against the Ducks. That being said, Tucson is proving a tough place to come and play, we hung with USC down here last year, beat Cal here last year, and in spite of the turnover plague are still putting a serious amount of points on the board.

Defense and the Gronkowski brothers have consistently saved us this year and until Grigsby learns to hold onto the damn ball we'll keep relying on them.

Looking forward to Oregon game though for sure as well as @USC.

Is the better Gronkowski brother playing yet? He was out injured vs. UW.

And don't forget mullet-boy at QB---he has been putting up some #'s. Given that he has only started, what, 4 games, he's only going to get better.

The big Gron should be back this week last I heard. That will help immensely with pass protection as well as giving a reliable set of hands for short yardage passes, which right now we don't have, and may be contributing to the turnover issue.

That little QB could turn out nice. Then again there were three or four game stretches with Tuitama over the years that he looked remarkable but just could never put it together. Hopefully, Stoops will work some magic with this kid though, he definitely has shown something so far.

Did you guys hear this?

Having played football, I tend to agree with Ealey - This sort of thing happens all of the time(I can remember getting stepped on, bit, pounded and grabbed in the jock, etc) - perhaps he should have been a little more subtle about it and since he got caught, maybe he should be somewhat penalized....but like it or not, this is just one of the things that happens "in the trenches".

But the first story said I was supposed to be mad about it. Now I'm confused. Someone post another article that reconciles these two so I can go home happy.

Malachi... your thoughts on the NU-OU game??... I'm pessimistic.

My prediction is...

NU 10
OU 27

I sure hope I'm way off on that. ;-)

If Nebraska's Defense can play stellar all game long and Oklahoma scores no defensive touchdowns, I see the game being 17-6 Oklahoma.
If OU scores some defensive touchdowns and the Huskers have a lapse on defense during a drive or two, I think it could be 33-3 Sooners.
I'm afraid that Nebraska might be shutout, but there's always a chance the Huskers catch the Sooners napping and blow it open early.

He has NO shot at winning due to his terrible D-Coordinator and teammates surrounding him, but I'd almost like to see him win in spite of that.

This probably doesn't happen every game. There is pure hate out there for Florida from UGA and vice versa. I laughed when Jesus 2.0 reached up for Prince Miller to help him up and was denied.

I didn't really think he had a shot when I read his name in a group that includes Eric Berry, Terrence Cody, Gerald McCoy, Taylor Mays, Brandon Spikes and Ndamukong Suh.

I think it stays close until the 4th,with OU pulling away. That's provided Murray is healthy,he's been running with a purpose lately.
I haven't seen much of the Huskers this year, but I know the D is stout.
Either way,it's good to see these two teams play again, with Bill Callahan nowhere in sight.

Annnnd Iowa runs out of miracle juice.

If the Nittany Lions lose that's wrap for the Big 10 in the title game.

Sucks the LSU/Bama game and the OSU/PSU game are on at the same time. Couple heavyweight fights.
