I really hate this cover.

What do you think of the album? I've still never heard his last one or that Megapuss thing.

if you thought he was headed in the wrong direction with cripple crow like so many of the fans of his older work seem to, then this won't win you back. i really like it however. it's pretty similar to his last couple in that he's all over the place stylistically, and there are a couple throwaways to go along with a couple really great songs. and the rest is at worst enjoyable.

and yes, the cover is awful.

I've been digesting this Bad Lieutenant album, and I'm actually really liking it so far. Highlights for me are "This is Home" and "Runaway."

I actually really liked Cripple Crow, but it was sort of a saturation point for me. I wasn't really anticipating a new album from him when the next one came out, and the fact that it got somewhat weak reviews (from critics and fans) kept me from being too interested.

But, I've still been meaning to check it out, and if this one is of similar quality, I'll probably check it out, too, at some point.

I'm giving this a listen now. I'd say track #1 is possibly the best single they've had since Pinkerton and everything else rivals "Make Believe" as far as being terrible.
