Yeah that was a tough break but that rookie Williams is impressive.

I agree there. We'll see what they can do against the Magic tonight. I'm just hoping they can stay in the game until the 4th quarter.

Answer: Not really. Score ending up being closer than the game actually was. ergh.

Will be interestng to see if we see an exodus of 11th & 12th graders to Europe, as well. & if that will spur colleges to pay players. (For the record, I am in favour of something on the order of what student-workers, in the libraries & mail-rooms, & such, make. Or, maybe more appropriately, what my brother made working in one of the labs on campus.)

It sure seemed to work for him. You can't learn quickness but you can learn composure and he has...looks very comfortable with the ball in his hand.

Playing Euroball gave him a half-decent jump shot too, something he wouldn't have needed to develop playing against smaller bodies in the U.S., especially with his footspeed.

And Bogut continues to underwhelm...

The Bucks are an interesting team, and with Michael Redd out of the lineup, might actually win a game here and there. Dude just HATES winning. He HATES it. A cancerous chucker. The only player I'd like to have on my team LESS than him in the whole league is probably Jermaine O'Neal.

I'm picking Jennings early for ROY though.

Ive said it before, but your take on Redd is totally off-base.

I dunno.

Sometimes I see a guy chucking because he literally has no other offensive options to defer to, and has to take on the load himself.

Sometimes I just see a chucker who doesn't play defense.

I'd really have to see how he played within the context of a proper team to get an idea of what he is capable of.

He's one of the best shooters in the league, he's supposed to chuck.

He may not be a great defender, but to say he hates to win and that he's cancerous is literally just nonsense.

they looked a lot more disciplined in their win here the other night. plus crawford went nuts. blazers only shot like 30%, but pretty impressive.

Yeah Crawford is the second leading scorer somehow. Josh Smith is leading the team in assists (!) and seems to have stopped shooting stupid threes. Horford is playing like a man possessed unlike last year. Good stuff, so far.

And another win tonight against Denver. Check out J. Smith's line:

22 points, 9 boards, 7 assists, 6 blocks

Just dayum.

Pretty awesome. If only he could be that effective night in night out. I still haven't seen that from him.

That Bobcats loss worries me. Charlotte isn't very good and had scored 80 once so far and we gave up 103 to 'em. That's a game we should win but somehow we're down over 20 in the 4th. Inexplicable shit like that is what drives me nuts about this team and it starts with Woodson.

I'll be holding my breath all year that this team doesn't implode mentally. i.e.- Josh Smith and Woodson freak out on each other.

Also, the scores around the league are laughable right now. 128-114, 120-97, 115-109. Defense doesn't start until April I guess.

Reminds me of the 80s.

& high-scores need not come without defense. In fact, the run thru the 90s of games 75-69 & such like scores, was as much a testament to poor shooting form as an hounding defense. Look no further than John Starks's performance in the decisive Finals game in '95 (?) for the defense-first Knicks. & Starks was considered a gunner!

Bucks leading the league in rebounding. I'd say that's a pretty good turn-about.
