Out of curiosity what sort of Hefeweizen's do you like?

I tend to be a Franziskaner person, but really enjoyed the Sierra Nevada Kellerweis.

Had many beers tonight before, during, and after the Boise/Tulsa game.
Boise is not that good, but then again, they beat Oregon.

Anyway, enjoying the evening. beers it is.

Yeah, to me the Broncos are on par with the team that lost to TCU last year in the bowl game. They are excellent for a Mid-Major and could beat more than a few ranked BCS conference teams at home, but they aren't a national title caliber team.

For a while there, I thought it was certainly going to end with both teams scoring at least 30 and Tulsa pulling the upset.

Pyramid has a decent one, as does Paulaner. I've had the Sierra Kellerweis. Don't remember it standing out. My most-drunk Hefe is from a local brewery here in Nashville. Close second is Flying Dog In Heat Wheat.

During warmer months, I typically drink Hefes, some derivation of a Belgian White (Allagash White Ale being a great one) or Golden Ale (Terrapin Brew making my favorite).

nailed it. Readily available, reasonably priced, and not bad.

I always wish Harpoon were a little better over all. Only their IPA is more than just ok, and there are so many IPA's out there.

They sell their yeast, which is a continuous strain going back to, what, 1016 or something? Crazy how old that brewery is.

Some vodka concoction and a Crown Royal shot. Free. All the sweeter.

Rather than resurrect a Thursday Night thread, I will just add on to last night.

I had two well whiskey and cokes
Two Pints of Old Style
A pint of Hoptober Golden Ale from New Belgium
and
A pint of Kabuziner Hefeweizen

Thanks Cap'n. It's a bit weird right now, like I said before, after I got out of the military I didn't think I would ever go back there, and now here I am headed that way, but won't be pulling cordon and kick type stuff, so should feel safer, but now I've got to wear a tie and carry nothing but a piece of shit sidearm, kind of feel at a disadvantage.

On the plus side, I will receive 10% disability for the rest of my life upon my return, thanks to Kabul air sample testing which revealed almost 8% of the air contains fecal matter inside the city. Awesome.

Shiner #3, Makers #2.

Right!?! That's only, what, 1 of every 12 breaths or so that will be a hit of straight butt interior. How is this place not a tourist hotspot already with numbers like that?
