Is that a new purchase? I don't think I've ever seen it in your np's. How is it? I've never heard that one. I've somewhat purposely avoided that one because the review at AMG used the world "danceable" I'm curious what you think though and why you picked that one up.

as i worked backwards thru his catalogue, i guess i can see that. i think out of all of them, i liked his first album most (along with those daytrotter sessions and a latitude session i found). i guess listening to the new one first i obviously couldn't be disappointed, but "sucks" may be a bit harsh?

It's not that new a purchase, I just don't listen to it much.
I picked it up because I saw it used and cheap; nothing to loose... just a couple of bucks.

The songs are pretty good, but truth be told, it REEKS of 80's production: bad synths, electronic percussion, and too-crisp sound. He does remake "9 Out of 10", which is a song that really can't be ruined.

It's probably my least favorite of his albums that I've heard. It's not a good record, but it's still Caetano... a 5.5/10.

Sorry that I didn't see your post yesterday or I would have sent you a rip so you could judge for yourself.
