Huh? I could see maybe saying that about the Steelers or the Cowboys but the Bears? Does not compute.
I actually don't find anything special about the steelers but the bears are up there with the Giants and Niners for me as teams that are emblematic of the NFL and coincidentally were good when I was a kid.

See, I see those 1980's Bears as more a one hit wonder than a legit juggernaut. 49'ers, Giants, Redskins? Sure.

considering we started three ROOKIES in the secondary versus the almighty brady, i think we did ok. we'll get a WR that can catch one of these days.

i'm just talking about porter.

carry on then.

i do think his comments were somewhat legit though. the way he presents them? well, i'll just stop right there....

Didn't they have a pretty good run right up through like 90 or 91? I think they went pretty deep in the playoffs in 88 or 89.

Also - Crack, Bears, Niners, Giants (Phins) best teams on both Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl (Bills were only good on Super Bowl)

Yeah this could be more of a techmo bowl phenomena than an NFL one.

i'm by no means a Steelers fan, but they are a old and classic franchise with more super bowl wins than any other team

They are old and terrible. Their coach went to William and Mary. I hope they suck again real soon. I hope terrible things in life happen to them and no one else but them. I hope they die of herpes and rot in hell.

And that's why they are clearly one of the flagship franchises. You don't waste that kind of hate on the Panthers.

They won three playoff games in the nineteen years between 1986-2005 and only reached the Conference Championship once. That's not a juggernaut, that's the Atlanta Falcons...

But that coach looks like Omar Epps. You have to give him props for that.

The Super Bowl must be on CBS this year, given the fact that basically 70% of The Who's back catalog is now owned by the various CSI franchises.

I guess the school system in Hamilton, OH prefers the Browns or maybe the Steelers.

Agree 1000% and I've only seen half an ep of CSI ever.

(but Jay Mohr runs that bit ragged when he guest hosts for Jim Rome and I laugh every single goddamn time)

Jesus.

I mean, at this point Chicago as a franchise should take whatever money they have in a QB and throw it all into Defense, a running back, and an O-line. Just don't have a QB at all.

It's clear that the city is cursed when it comes to QB's.

They should just cut all QB's from the roster and run the wildcat for all eternity.

With no running game, inexperienced receivers and a terrible o-line, no QB can succeed.
