Is this a good doc on this band? Is there a better one out there?

No, and no.

I like One For the Road, but it focuses a lot on their songs of that era (mid- to late-70s) and more rock tunes, although it does have a number of 60s hits. If you're looking for a concert document of the peak of their pop prowess (tunes from Village Green, Arthur, Lola, etc.), a proper album doesn't exist, although I highly recommend the BBC Sessions.

Agreed. While I don't have any real issues with One For The Road (I own it) it also doesn't really bring anything eye opening about the band. The whole sound is kind of bland to me considering how dynamic their best records are.

The version of "Lola" on here is pretty great though.

The best doc on this band is the book "Kink" by Dave Davies.
