blazers win 6 in a row including 4 in a row on a 5 games in 7 days east coast road trip. they look dead tired but are improbably winning on defense. do sense a blowout tomorrow in ATL...especially now that 2 of our 3 small forwards are out for months.

Best record in the Eastern Conference.

It's clearly ridiculously early but I'll take it. It doesn't happen around here very often.

blazers ran out of gas in the last 6 or 7 minutes but looks like the hawks are the slightly better team at this point in the year. their overall agression and relentlessness on the boards is impressive. mcmillan tried to go to a zone cuz as the blazers were tiring but that left them unable to get any rebounds at all. plus steve blake SUUUUUCKS this year. "this year"

however, atlanta should be embarrased at STILL not being able to draw anyone.

Artest explains hurling Trevor Ariza's dislodged shoe off the court...

“Well what happened was…obviously I didn’t know his shoe would come off that’s the first thing conservative reporters. I didn’t know his shoe was gonna come off. I don’t speak to his feet so I don’t know what his feet are thinking, I don’t know what his toes are thinking, I don’t know what he’s thinking. Then his shoe comes off and I’m like okay a shoe is not supposed to be on the basketball court without somebody standing inside of it. So I said alright, I’m just gonna buy me some time. I really didn’t know whose shoe it was, but I said it has to be one of the player’s shoe. As soon as I toss it off the court, not throw into the stands which some people said, it’ll buy me some time. What happens is I come back down, Trevor is trying to put his shoe on and I politely hit a three in his face."

Ive said it before, but your take on Redd is totally off-base.

Redd is back.

Bucks drop three straight.

Dude just flat out does not pass the ball.

We are also down two starters, Bogut and Mbah a Moute.

He does look awful right now though...totally out of sync. I think John Barry is right about the Bucks intentions of trading him, but the way he looks we might not get much for him.

Look, with Jennings around, Redd has just made himself redundant.

He doesn't even give his teammates a chance.

It's just baffling to me how guys like Steve Francis, Marbury, and Iverson have been tossed out of the league due to their offensive inefficiency and perceived selfishness, while Redd still has a job.

Is it because he's a nice guy without a pathetic "gangster" attitude off the court?

'Cause on the court, he's the most selfish player in the league this side of the Warriors roster...

Man, did Redd fuck your mother?, you seem to really want to rag on the guy

I disagree with your assessment, especially since you've said yourself you've never really seen him play in the context of a proper team.

He's on his way out of Milwaukee and on the down slide of his career, and that's unfortunate...l I loved the guy when he was playing well. He was a scorer, a long distance shooter, it never was his job to distribute the ball to his teammates, shooters shoot.

Plus all those playoff wins he led the Bucks to.

Oh, wait...

Amazing NBA story...

At my inlaws the other night after we ate Thanksgiving, one of my wife's Uncles asking me if I knew whether Bibby was playing in that night's game against Orlando rippled into us watching Hawks-Magic instead of college or pro football...All of these older white dudes who haven't followed the NBA in years have not only been watching Hawks games but are firmly back on the wagon.

There is a 100% chance that this could have never happened at any point here in the past 20 years.

Give Sasha fucking Vujacic the keys to a franchise for five years and he'll probably eventually get you twenty ppg and fifty losses too...

Yeah, I'm flabbergasted. NOBODY has been interested in the Hawks in this town for a long time and suddenly they are. Its amazing.

Sorry, this isn't Boston, gotta take what you can get hoops-wise.

Dude. Hawks had NINE players in double figures last night and put up 146 on the raptors.

Still not ready to put them ahead of celts, magic, or cavs but if they continue to improve things could get interesting.

Going to see em Friday against the knicks.

Oh and that Crawford pick up? Yeah, that's gonna work out.

Nets finally win a game! Brook Lopez and Courtney Lee played out of their minds, with Lopez putting up 31 pts and 14 reb with 2 blocks and Lee having a career high 27 points to go with 3 steals. Everybody else played their parts, and thus they finally fucking won a game.

Ahhhhhhh as a true fan I feel like a weight has been lifted off of MY shoulders. With 2 Jets wins and the Nets finally coming through, its been a good sports week for me...finally.

Damn. Greg Oden out for the season.

Safe to say he's snake bit at this point.

Horrible return on investment for Portland.
