I basically went over everybody's head and just picked a forum style I could live with. I think it's a good start, and I'm open to design and feature suggestions.

any chance you can make it so the board "border" expands to whatever screen resolutions you have set? It's pretty narrow on my monitor with lots of unused white space on the sides.

Possible. At the very least I can make an alternate version of the theme with 100% width.
