This is the worst band I've heard in years.

I think it's just one kid and he wrote the entire record in his parents' basement.

All-ages venue?

My 13 and 10 year-old daughters LOVE that song--that may explain the brisk ticket sales.

I'm not anti-making money or whatever, but I would like to just peek inside the mind of a grown ass man that writes songs for tweens. I think I'm going to put "Pissants like Owl City" right under "Morning Zoo DJs" on the creative hierarchy.

At least the Owl City guy (full disclosure: i have no fucking clue what you guys are talking about) actually wrote or at least played some role in the creation of his music--Morning Zoo guys just get their material from a prep service or outright steal it from other, slightly more talented Morning Zoo guys.

Plagiarizing barely qualifies as "writing".

I am officially "out of touch" because I have no idea what or who you are talking about.

It's basically Bed Gibbard with an extra chromosome.

I tried listening to this album earlier this year due to the comparison to The Postal Service. It is awful and the lyrics are less than pedestrian. I'm really surprised people can listen to his hit song "Fireflies" without gagging and/or pissing themselves after laughing so hard.
He's allegedly a christian artist, so I think that is why his all ages shows sell out so damn fast and why he has the following he does right now.

That song had me for a good week. I know the lyrics suck. I know it's not original. And it even makes me wince a little how much auto-tune is on his voice.

But fuck it. Still enjoyed that week.

Busty got me to listen to that song, and I'm still kinda pissed about it.
