I don't think I can listen to 3 more hours of Verne Lundquist. And Danielson isn't much better.

The hyperbole is overflowing and the errors plentiful. Are these two really the best CBS can come up with for college football?

Quick start for Bama.

I'm really just pulling for Saint Tebow to lose.

As much as I hate Tebow, I hope Saban slips on a gatorade bottle, breaks his neck, and Bama loses 72 - 0.

I have to agree: This is the flagship broadcast for the flagship conference in CFB and this is the best you can do?

I'll even be generous and say that Danielson is ok (I'm still on the fence to whether he is better or worse than Todd Blackledge)

No shit. Verne just has too many senior moments.

Huge run by Ingram.

1400 yards and 12 TD's - are those Heismanesque stats?

Is it an award for best stats though? I'm not saying that Ingram should win but he is the most important player on arguably the best team (could make the same argument for McCoy and Tebohg for that matter) so that counts for something.

I've never been a fan of giving it to the Andre Ware of that year.

Yeah, you probably right and I got no problem with that.

Also, I didn't realize how bad Ingram's stats were against Augburng last week--16/30=FAIL

Yeah, since Richardson is arguably better than Ingram, and they are counting on McElroy more today, Ingram's fate was probably sealed in his epic bed shitting against Auburn.

I actually wouldn't mind Ingram getting it, if only to shut Bama fans up about ONE MORE THING: "Bear Bryant always said it was a team game, we don't need individual awards." Of course he said in between slurps of bourbon and sneaking out of the freshman boys' dorm....

Agreed. I mean, if it were all about stats, the Colt Brennan and Timmy Chang's of the world would win it.

But let's be honest, the Heisman is pretty much a joke at this point where many coaches, writers, etc miss voting on it every single year. Schools will actually fund campaigns for players to get hype going for them and unless you play in a major conference and on a team that has a shot at the National Championship you aren't going to win it. It's so subjective.

I agree about Ingram's stats though. They don't look that impressive and unfortunately that's what most of the voters will go off of in the final analysis. Sucks really because like Bloor said, dude has been the best back in the SEC all year and on the best team.

I'd have no issue with McCoy getting it though. He's every bit as deserving.

This Bama D makes me jealous. They are living proof that the old mantra of "Defense wins Championships" is right as gold.

Also makes me even happier that Richt fired all our defensive coaches. At least he sees the problem.

As good as Ingram has been tonight, McElroy has impressed the hell out of me.

He's just made every play he has been asked to make and didn't make mistakes that can beat yourself.

Joe Cox fail.

Tuscaloosa based Dead cover band The Dancing 'Bears' just counted off on "Saint Saban." With a Rose, indeed.

Tough choice between the ACC and Big 12 games for my viewing time. I'm going with ACC for now.
