3 of the 5 start Gael Garcia Bernal who to me is one of the best actors out right now.

haven't seen dramamex, but surprised at exclusions of amores perros and nueve reinas.

Devil's Backbone, City of God, and Manda Bala were all better than Motorcycle Diaries. Y tu Mama Tambien is the only other one I've seen from this list.

voces inocente wasnt a big release.. it topped my list because it hit close to home, its about the Salvadorian Civil War... I would have added Amores Perros as my #5 but felt it was one too many Gael films, plus I really really enjoyed DramaMex... Havent seen Nueve Reinas

city of god would be my #1 if i were to do a list for sure.

i didn't realize there was a sequel (albeit more of a sequel to the city of men tv show, but i really liked that as well). i just ordered it along with elite squad for cheap off amazon.
