this is probably the best way to do one of these best of the decade things. a list where you have to rank some movie you saw 9 years ago at 37 over one you saw 5 years ago at 38 just seems pointless. but yes, i know it's no different with listmania and any of that shit. lists are lists

I think it's more to do with that particular movie. If you're shooting a period piece, I think digital takes something away from the believability.

But now that I think of it, Michael Mann did both Public Enemies and Collateral and both were shot in digital and I thought both looked like shit due to the format choice. So maybe I just have a problem with whoever Mann uses as a cinematographer.

Shit Gar, my list (if I weren't too lazy to make one) would be strikingly similar. A little longer maybe, but really close.
