I didn't see all of it, but what I did see was pretty interesting.

Bandit-ball, firing guns at halftime and whatnot.

I guess it's all to do with the subject, because I liked this one. The other 2 kinda sucked/were super boring.

I think that is what pisses me off more than anything, and makes me pretty much hate the fucking Ravens.

That's exactly why I hate the Ravens.

i knew you would turn my simple question into some kind of insult. I didn't understand what you wrote and was asking for clarification. If that makes me a fool, so be it.

You truly don't remember that Baltimore stole The Browns from Cleveland?

I'm aware that the Browns became the Ravens, and now understand what you were saying.

I watched that USFL one last night, which managed to achieve the impossible feat of making Trump look like even more of a douche than he already is.

Also, I loved Neuheisel's "gumball rally" story about how all of the players on his team had to race from San Antonio to the owner's bank in the rural south Texas town of LaVernia because they knew only the first few paychecks would clear.

Just finished the USFL one, and really dug it. I could have watched a feature length doc on it easily. It kind of reminded me of the ESPN NASL soccer doc Once in a Lifetime.

Yeah but boxing docs are always the best. I don't really need each episode to be in competition with the others though.

No, but inevitably they will be, especially because the first 2 kinda sucked.

It was really good, though Bernie Kosar seemed drunk or just sounds like Chris Berman now...or both.

Uh, yeah...except they got to keep their franchise history, colors, etc and got it back within a few years. Not the same thing. :wanker: Also, let's not forget that if Cleveland wasn't awarded an expansion team, then they were going to try and get a team from another city. Namely, Denver and Tampa Bay. True, the owners threatened to get new stadiums, but the threat was out there. Welcome to modern sports.

Yeah - I txt Bloor and was like "Kosar is both drunk, and coked up in his interviews"

Those U teams were straight GANGSTA, dudes like Bennie Blades, Zo Highsmith, etc were straight characters.

Also, I know a guy that played in one of those post season college all star games with Irvin and said dude was always carrying like, a half ounce of coke....I'm a little surprised they didn't get into that, but I think the point was to make them look like better people than they really were :)

This was on par with the Jimmy the Greek one in terms of quality/entertainment.

I watched the second half live after getting like 60 texts from LooGAR--I have to go back and watch the first half on DVR today but the hour I saw was beyond awesome.

I loved the revelation that Dennis Ericcson was more of a "players coach" than JJ but they let the implication hang there that the players may have forced him at gunpoint to be a players coach. And taught his son how to fuck.

My friend even described this doc as "Remember the Titans meets Cocaine Cowboys" before he knew that those guys were involved. Great choice for directors, and they made perfect sense considering the subject matter.

Here's an interview with a producer, who talks about The U as well as some upcoming Cocaine Cowboys-related docs:
