Yeh, it will go in a cool, dark place until we decide on an occasion to uncork it.

Seen stuff like that from hip microbrews trying to emulate their European brewing brethren. Never that big, though.

So I'm guessing a beer that size would pretty much fill one of these:

I found the 9L (Jesus christ that is huge) bottle for $220.00, or $180.00 if you buy at least two.
That bottle would fill four boots with a liter left over. You'd most definitely kill yourself consuming one bottle on your own, but it would certainly be fun.

4 times and a little over. Oops, didn't see Promethium's comment. My son got it from our favorite bar owner at his cost, no mark-up, but I'm not sure what the bottom lne was.

They have a giant one like that in Duvel at my local spot. I think it costs 80.00/ which isn't that bad..But yeah, you can't drink some and save the rest for later, once it's cracked open, you are in it for the long haul.

Yeah, There was this awesome bar in the Old Market of Omaha called the Alt-Munchen Bierhall that served them for a fairly reasonable price. You could drink one by yourself and didn't have to follow any specific rules like you do at the Huber Haus now in Omaha.
