Phil and Deena, Chad and Cory and Femgar and I destroyed some massive food.

Bone Marrow
Tongue
Sweetbreads
a raw bar selection
veal cheeks
Fluke

what am I missing?

Then we went to The Driskill Hotel and got our LBJ on. That place might be the coolest in town, and I think Cory's vow was to hang out nightly and look for chick's he could push into a closet or bathroom stall.

I now feel pickled, but you can't sleep in with baby.

Let's see, chad inhaled some grassfed venison and lentils, cory ended up with that amazing seared scallop and parsnip trio, deena and i split that beef with braised shortribs and petite fillet, there was that appetizer of crab fritters that about floated off the plate, your wife and her friend snacked on the calamari, the chef sent out the blonde pate with strawberries, oh, and that steak tartar...

the raw bar selection was 4 kinds of oysters, snapper, ceviche, salmon, and bass...

the sides were also spectacular.

Then there were those cinnamon sugar donut holes with the 3 sauces on the side (apple butter, caramel?, brandy cream)

I think that's it.

Then there were the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with manchego and spanish chorizo at the driskill bar.

I still haven't eaten today - that's how awesome last night's offerings were.

Phil's right; I remember taking the first bite of that venison and the next time I looked down it was gone.

Spectacular night in every way possible.

Looks like our best bet will be to meet up somewhere in Allen or Plano off 75 tomorrow evening for the Cowboys game. Two Rows on 75 and Bethany in Allen would fit the bill, as would Humperdink's on 75 in Plano/Richardson.

Let's allow GARvis to make the final call. I think I will get on the horn with him right now...

Humperdinks is approximately 120 miles from where I am :)

Just got off the phone with GARvis, he may/may not be back from GARklahoma in time to meet up with us, so let's just go with Two Rows on 75 and Bethany in Allen and he'll catch up with us there later if he makes it back in time. How about 6:30?

Yeah, we're trying to get together for a couple pops and watch the Cowboys.

Neither - it's mainly a lunch joint, I meet up with some buddies there for lunch every now and then. Food is good, but no brews or tube to be had.

Fun time had by all. I even got driven to and from our shindig in the brand new GARmobile, which was obviously lifted straight from Ashley Schaeffer's lot.

So the Yukon passed the "nightmare scenario" stress test on its suspension? Someone needs to alert J.D. Power and company.

No shit, not since Dusty Rhodes and Andre the Giant drove from Atlanta to Tampa with a case of beer between them has an auto been through such a trial.
