Sweet Jesus, I've eaten those Banquet Salisbury Steak things before. We're talking a seriously lingering and heinous coating on the entire oral cavity. You can't wash that shit out with a homemade bar of lye soap.

I decided to do this tonight. I probably shouldn't have eaten lunch as to work up something of an appetite for this but I wanted to get it out of the way so I could possibly live to see 2010.

They didn't have any XXL's at the market I went to, so I got this instead.



I dunno, it just looked like the most revolting out of what they had. It's really not good to be full of this crap though.

I figured I was cheating a bit by not getting an XXL meal so I searched for something to add to it.

since there was a bourbon/smoky theme going on i had some of this. it was my only good choice tonight.





the mesquite flavor residue looks like rust.

someone had burnt some popcorn in the microwave. it didn't matter, this stuff smells worse.



this doesn't look anything like chicken.



it tastes like fake chicken. i'm sure this isn't anything close to being chicken. the mesquite flavor is overpowering any other taste in this thing, which isn't much. i'm eating all of these while the hungry man meal heats up.

i'm trying to choke down the rest of this chicken. it's not going well.



i thankfully can't really smell anything because of a cold. the beans look weirdly green, like slimer from ghostbusters. they taste alright. very bland and cafeteria-like.



honestly, if this was hobo flesh and maggots i wouldn't be surprised. the "steak" has a faint steak taste. i guess the sauce is helping somewhat. i need more bourbon.



i couldn't finish the rest of the rice. i'd put some in my mouth and try to eat it and spit most of it back out. it was mealy and overcooked.

i'm drinking another bourbon now. my stomach feels like it's going to burst and i feel really lethargic. i've also drank 2 glasses of water to try and maybe get some sort of normalcy back.

The green beans look slightly appetizing, but that "steak" turns my stomach just looking at it.

First, excellent work. I had to clamp my mouth shut to keep from laughing (or vomiting.) Second, 120% of your daily sodium needs in that fucker is serious. Are these things mostly just made of raw sodium? And it surprises the shit out of me to keep hearing that they taste bland and need salt. Does not compute.
