Take a few off, add in T.I. and shake this bugger up and it's pretty much all there.

Deer Tick is too high, Phoenix won't make my list, and congrats on remembering John Doe and Casablancas.

2008. Glad to see you're keeping up with hip hop.

also, surprised that deer tick is on so many lists after it getting kind of a lukewarm reception when it was first released.

I swear I thought that, and then I saw it on a list as 2009.

Fuck, you can hardly tell with "release dates" being what they are.

John Doe has gotten pretty consistent play from me all year long. On Cassablancas I sort of ignored it at first but then it has come on strong here in the last few weeks.

My list is HIGHLY skewed to how many times I listen to a given album sometimes to the detriment of actual quality.

i didn't hate it, but it's way too "rote" for a guy (doe) who operates much better when not on autopilot

I've really, really gotten to love that Doe/Sadies album. I WILL cover "Are The Good Times Really Over For Good" like that someday.

This could easily be my #1

How about you put Circulatory System in that blank #5 spot?

I think for me it was definitely a grower. I really enjoyed War Elephant, and don't know where I expected this album to be initially, but it wasn't there.

Had I gotten that earlier in the year it might well have ended up that high but I had to give it an "Incomplete" since I'm still absorbing it.

But now that you mention it, I think I'll do the cop out move and put the DBT's B-sides collection The Fine Print in that spot. Fuck it, it's my list.

Excellent List Here

Liking the Love for the Crowes

I did not put the "Fine Print" on my lis because it was'nt a proper album. But I probabaly listened to that most this year besides Lucero. That song TVA absoloutely slays me.

I'm torn on this too considering the songs were recorded from '03 - '08, but it's the first time I've heard most of these on record. It'll end up in the Top 20. I almost just want to throw "Uncle Frank" on my Top 20 mix just for Stroker Ace's intro.

Me neither. See my post in Loog's thread.

That's a good list. There's a good 80% I dig on there.
