2009 - Mission Accomplished
-became single
-remodeled my kitchen
-went to San Francisco, stayed in Billie Holidays room at the Mark Twain
-flew a friend in from Philly
-became a UX/UI developer
-Learned Drupal CMS
-designed a site for my parents band
-nursed a sick 4 yr old to health multiple times
-became a soccer dad
-built a train table
-joined a part time jazz trio
-finished the entire Battlestar Galactica series, including The Plan.
-read Ender's Game
-read the entire Sandman collection
-made a relatively comprehensive metal primer for a coworker.
-wrote, recorded and produced an EP
-contributed some engineering/producing and vocal work to the Chicken On A Bicycle Record
-developed a working knowledge of Flash technology
-survived a giant layoff
-grew a beard
-archived my grandma's entire life story to hard drive
-found out my dad has cancer
-joined hpn, finally after all these years

2010 - On Deck
-remodel my bathroom
-release 2 records
-visit a friend or two in Portland
-attend a Silverlight conference in Las Vegas
-get Photoshop Expert certification
-get Illustrator Expert certification
-get Web Design Specialist certification
-refurbish my garden
-remodel the bedrooms
-build a deck
-install a pot belly stove in my garage
-make the garage into a workshop/studio
-get into making sculptures and painting
-get more tattoos
-buy a drumset, finally
-buy a guitar and amp, finally
-play concerts again
-launch Young Tobacco Records
-release my book
-watch the Lost series
-pay off 3 credit cards and a school loan
-take my son on a weeklong road trip
-take care of mom if dad is incapacitated for any length of time

2009 you is my hero

At a party last New Year's Eve, one of the guests had everyone write a resolution on a piece of paper and put it in an SASE to be sent around now. I still haven't gotten it yet, but I remember exactly what I wrote. It was to say "I love you" to my wife everyday. Its a resolution I hope to keep for as long as we're both living.

2010: stay away from that woman.

Won a Mayor's Race
Started a business (that has clients and is profitable)
Had a kid
Bought a new ride
Gave old ride to my in-laws
got nose surgery
gained back 20 of the 47 I lost
Gave my first speech
Got written up in a local 'zine as a man about town
started doing radio commentary

2010:
Win 2 state senate races
go hunting (ducks and pheasants)
Get into a workout routine
continue raising my amazing son
travel somewhere for a real vacation - Argentina? Spain? Montana?
continue to build my business as The Go To Guy to Get Elected in Alabama
Find a creative outlet (wonder if FAIL BLOOR wants to start the Blask again?)
read more and get an outline done of my movie/book project

2009: The Year I Accumulated Too Many Problems
2010: The Year I Get Rid of All My Problems.

2010: get that $$$$$$$$$$$$

get a new job, either at my current company or somewhere else
survive baby number 2 and related marital stress
continue losing weight and working out
wage a full out attack on clutter and obsolete shit around the house

In 2010 I hope to:

Lose weight.
Gain height.
Install robot hand with the strength of fifty human hands.
Breed endangered salamanders.
Find a briefcase of cash in a back alley abandoned by armed robbers during a police chase.
Adopt "Aaarrrrrhhh shopkeep" as new standard greeting to all newsagents
Introduce myself as 'Ralph' to anyone I meet under 5 feet 7 inches, 'Morgan to anyone over 5 feet 7 inches and 'Lottie' to anyone exactly 5 feet 7 inches.
Finish the first chapter of my sensational autobiography 'Every Other Phase'.
Slide down 15% more banisters than last year.
Buy a racoon skin hat.
Learn to play the blues on the mouth organ to such a standard I can make people spontaneously burst into tears and use this ability for evil.

2010: Pretty much just get by

man, my life is so simple and easy going.

2010, continue that.

- I'd like to lose 50lbs, but would settle for 20
- Like Loog, need to find a creative outlet because my life is fucking bland (MLIFB)
- Get outside even more than I already do / more exercise
- Attempt to get my spending habits a little more under control
- sign a band that I truly dig and makes money
- Don't let work get me down in a rut like it did in all of 2009

Adding: listen to more music at work. I often find myself sitting at my desk at the end of the work day not having listened to a single song
