There's been rumblings about it, but I have no idea how this is going to happen unless Matt Cameron steps from behind PJ's drums. They have tourdates in Europe most of the summer, and they're playing some festivals in April. Wondering if this is a winter 2010 thing.

Part of me thinks this is cool because I would like a chance to see them live, but for the most part I feel that usually when a band retires that should be it. I feel that most bands that do this become a parody of themselves, almost like Soundgarden playing covers of Soundgarden.

They became a parody of themselves when they released Superunknown. I get physically ill listening to Black Hole Sun.

Superunknown was sort of the "holy shit we're rock stars now and we can do anything we want" album. Some of it was great. Some of it, like Black Hole Sun, was stuff they probably shouldn't have done. But Soundgarden was a GREAT band. Badmotorfinger is still one of my favorite records of the 90's.
