From these 2 responses, it suddenly becomes clear that a terrible side effect of consuming these little balls of slug shit is hydrocephalus.

Shred them, put aside, cook 1/4 inch slivers of bacon (or pancetta), remove 1/2 bacon grease, throw shredded sprouts in saute pan with the bacon fat and bacon and couple of crushed garlic cloves, saute to a mild bite( not too soft or wilted), salt pepper to taste, remove to serving bowl, squeeze 1/2 lemon or desire to taste toss and serve.

This has converted many sprout haters in my world.

Wow. I went to Target to get a phone, and on the way out, I stopped at their little cafe to get a sandwich. They didn't have the sandwiches made yet, so I got a California Grilled Chicken salad for $4. When I took it out of the cooler, I thought, man, this thing is pretty heavy! It's made by Archer Farms, the same company that sells nuts & stuff at Target.

Got back to work, opened it up, poured on the poppyseed dressing & went to work. Wow! Goatcheese, walnuts, dried cherries & Romaine lettuce, and plenty of BIG chunks of soft chicken (not hard, like the Trader Joe's salads use- does TJ's use the beak for meat?). For $4!? I'm sold.

Yup, mine too. As a kid I would go nuts for them. I dunno why, I guess I was just an odd kid. Never had any problems with veggies. Guess my parents never forced them on me, or treated them as I had to eat them.
