Really really liking this album. I've always liked her voice, but it seems to shine through on this album for some reason.

I loved their first record and always thought of it as a perfect November album (including that dark, depressing, November feel). But this one is actually kind of cheery, as far as Beach House can be cheery.

"Lover of Mine" = nice little 80s hit.

I like that song too. I haven't even noticed the song "Norway" the few times I've listened (all at work). I do really like the sound of this record, and their records generally. I like that this is a notch more upbeat. Kinda reminds me of Nite Jewel a little. Warrants more attentive listens for sure.

Too bad this came out so close to the end of the year, cause I'm close to calling this my favorite album of the year and I don't know if it's because it's still new and fresh or if it's actually got legs and a year from now I'll still be calling it my favorite album from '09.

Either way, doesn't stop me from listening to it every single day since day 1. When I wake up and it's time to put on something to listen to, there's no question or doubts about what I'm gonna put on first.

Honestly, name one bad song on this mutha. 'Thing's the golden child.

Listening to it right now, and really like it. This band has really grown and made some fantastic songs since day 1.
