About time we started this up. I'll add entries as I remember them (or as they're suggested).

The Obner Lexicon

bortcore - generic pop punk unburdened by wit or originality

CHH - acronym for canned ham head, which is an abbreviated form of red-faced canned ham head, meaning to become enraged to the the point of facial discoloration

daleny - adverb, describing music so transparently trendy that you won't remember hearing it seven days from now. See also: estoney, shivish

8 roper - adjectival modifier, meaning someone or something is so sexually enticing so as to cause the beholder to immediately produce an unfeasibly large amount of ejaculate

froogle - verb, meaning to feign expertise on any obscure band or subject through a quick google search

fuh - noncommittal exclamation meaning the merits of the relative attractiveness of that particular woman are irrelevant to me because I possess a penis which renders my conscious preferences meaningless when in a hardened state

GARspeak - representation of a particular southern U.S. ethnic dialect, often misunderstood or ineptly imitated

hive, the - nebulous, ill-defined group of cruel, petty boarders who allegedly agree on everything

Machine. the - alter ego of Dumpjack, known for the relentless pursuit of otherwise unobtainable downloads as well as a casual enjoyment in human experiments

murse - a male nurse, more specifically any callow, racist male nurse with a sexual predilection for underage Asian girls

neuro'd - verb, always used in its past tense, meaning to have obliviously started a thread on a topic that had been previously exhausted only days ago

oatmill - frivolous interjection meant to imply a topic is either exhausted or pointless

O3CGR - acronym for obscure 3-chord garage rock, aka: rock 'n' roll, mostly looked down upon by chord-counting prog fans and/or meek indie crybabies

+1 - an unfailingly pointless post, demonstrating a sad urge to partake in a thread discussion despite having absolutely nothing to say

PPDD - acronym for poo poo ding dong, meant to describe music so precious and self-consciously arty that merely listening to it merits immediate membership in the nearest YMCA

reg rock - music that hews closely to rock tradition, often espousing the laughable old-fashioned virtues of melody, hooks, and the ability to play an instrument

74 - verb, to 74 a thread is to end a thread with a non-committal, useless post that offers no reason for response

Squirggled - verb, meaning to be terminated from gainful employment due to posting about one's employer

tentozian - adverb, describing earnest acoustic folk and/or country music with very little variance in tempo or execution

what's the hidelinks password? - code for "I never read anyone else's posts and I'm borderline retarded"

THE MACHINE and TEH HIVGEG need definitions as well.

something about peahats, and the remembrance of

used to imply that a boarder, usually toots, makes a habit of having little offer in the way of substantive debate and is usually used by a wise, serious elder like billyg or the author of this thread

Origination of the board name would be helpful for new members, regardless of how rare those are

Also, O3CGR aka Obscure 3-chord Garage Rock. Genre of guitar-driven rock that exhibits raw power and amateurish musicianship. It's an instantly recognizable form of rock whose sound straddles that of proto-punk and bar rock and is thought of by the author of this thread as supreme to all forms of music (yes, even "reg rock") and probably makes him feel like he's 18 again.

Maybe add in the "goodbye Obner" thread. Seen most recently posted by XIX and has been perfected by BeeOK and OPA over the last couple of years.

Also, "Meatbone" should be one related to hearing a wildly inaccurate lyric.

def. an appreciation of only a narrowly defined period of music and a general distaste of anything that's new, modern, or popular to the point of being violently argumentative with those in disagreement.

As recently coined by Kingfish:

Promethium Territory: To self-promote or obsessively post about a local sports team or region you reside in.

Example:
Kingfish was venturing into Promethium Territory when he posted an article about The Saints.

Also there should be something added about PopTodd and Shrimpboat, and the Loogar school of reading comprehension, especially when the comment is geared toward TJ42 or Jewels.

I can outrightly declare that I am at one point or another a qualifier for a good lot of Rads' descriptors.

Frewdian - a certain analysis and gradient based solely on a particular Scot man's scale, Mr. Frew, or applied if honored by same

West Palmed - When porn inserts threads without normal expectations but generally welcomed

Dead Dicked - Over saturation by listening, participating or reading dick's picks thread
