I can't even muster the whatever to hate on the Hawks now. They just get it done against the Celts. Also I love Horford.

Kevin Durant last night went for 45 pts and 11 rbs, shooting 16-21 from the field*.
He's now second in the league in scoring,in what should be his senior year at Texas.
Scary good.And he's still learning.

*: It WAS against Golden State.

At one point I thought the Hawks had turned a corner and had a shot at making the Eastern Finals.

I now think they may get put out in the first round and players/management are going to freak out and implode all the progress made over the last 4 years.

If that happens this team will lose me.

What makes you think they will blow up the team? There is a legit chance we could lose Joe Johnson but I don't think anybody is pushing the panic button--if anything, I think the Hawks are one of the least panicking organizations in the NBA: they don't fire coaches at the drop of hat or try and construct and reconstruct and reconstruct a team (or manufacture fake chemistry) through tons of in season trades and signings. They pretty much have a plan and stick to it.

The problem for the playoffs. is that we don't matchup very well with Cleveland or Orlando. If we were only facing the Celtics in the playoffs, schedule the parade.

They just need a decent center, especially in the playoffs.

It's taken a quite a while for him to come around, but he looks great this year. I knew he could pass and was a decent scorer, but Ive been impressed with his D he's a heck of a shot blocker.

Unfortunately, we'll have to beat at least one, if not BOTH of those teams to get to the Finals. I just do not see it happening. Maybe "freak out" wasn't the best wording. I agree they've been pretty consistent and let this (very) young team mature but there is still a huge step between being in the playoffs and actually winning them. I just have a lot of questions about them and there are some HUGE decisions coming this off season and next that will determine this current teams future.

Joe Johnson and Woodson's contract are up this year and Horford is up the following year. Is Woody the answer? I don't know if he's good or not. Is it because of him or because the young team has gotten older and better at their craft? Should I be asking these questions this far into his tenure? Is Joe worth a Max contract on a Kobe/Lebron/Wade level?

We're 23-19 since Christmas. WTF?

Granted I'm being VERY greedy right now after the wilderness the Hawks were in for years but with success comes expectations and I just don't see us making it past the 2nd round, if that.

Can't help but bump for my Bucks...it's been so long since we've been good. Beat the Jazz, Nuggets on the road last week and finish it off with a win against the Hawks. Lovin' it.

I don't know which would be worse for Milwaukee...Atlanta or Boston, either way I think we can hang.

I think this success does nothing but prove what a cancerous tumor Michael Redd has been for the Bucks franchise....

blazers, through a combination of injuries and shitty play have positioned themselves perfectly for a 4-game sweep at the hands of the lakers.

man what is this team doing. If Pritchard's on the market, you think the new owner of the Warriors won't make him an offer in a heartbeat?
