I checked this book out of the library and was sorely disappointed. Very misleading, imo....

So are expensive designer blue jeans an easy item to move in the streets?

In the last 3 years here in Atlanta we've had no less than a couple dozen smash and grab robberies where the main target seems to be these expensive jeans. True Religion jeans??

Most times it's been these high end boutique shops but apparently this morning at 6am a crew used a van as a battering ram and smashed into the NORDSTROM at one of the cities nicer malls and snatched as many stacks of these jeans as they could.

Blue Jean Bandits they're calling them. Any other cities experienced this?

WTF?

Never anything like that around here. The closest thing to that style robbery was the Scheel's Sporting Goods robbery where some wannabe gang members stole a bunch of guns and sold some of them in the Phoenix area.

I can think of at least two things wrong with that title.-- Nelson after watching "Naked Lunch"

I imagine that they would be fairly easy to move. Those true religion jeans are expensive as fuck. In college one of my friends had a true religion hoodie that was too small for him that he let me wear, and that shit cost over three hundred dollars. It is an odd felling walking around in a $300+ hoodie, especially since other than the cool looking design it wasn't anything super special as far as material goes.

In high school I had this friend who was always stealing stuff and then selling it, anything he could get his hands on. I am a little bit ashamed to admit that I have a stolen fender strat that I bought in high school for only $50.

I'd say the people stealing them are actually smarter than the douchebags buying them.

$300 for jeans?

Do you have ANY idea how much college is projected to cost in 2027? ~$100K/year out of state.

You see paper, there are things called "inflation" and "actuarial tables" and "projections" that are based upon "current rates of return" and "10 year adjustments"

There's a whole industry out there of people who do more than listen to music and jack off, you know?

I'm just deciding not to dwell on it. I'll save and stuff, but when it's that time, if she wants to go somewhere badass then there's loans and scholarships for that shit.

You'd think all the savings you get from not having a car and living in a two story cardboard box you could really sock it away.

Anyway, at the top rate, with the 529 plan, it's like $817/mo

more affordable state school rates are like $350

Still, that's some shit!

Yeah, but realistically how accurate have these things proven themselves to be. Any prediction about 20 or so years into the future no matter how much science it's based on is still no more than a guess, granted an educated scientific guess. This is just what will probably happen if things continue going a certain way which they rarely do.
