My band, Roxy Swain, completed our album. It's 9 songs, 25:40, but I suppose that's a full-length and not an EP(?) Who knows, these days.

Here are three of the nine songs. I would appreciate any feedback. It will be out on Spade Kitty and Itunes at the end of February.

Thanks for listening!

second to none is my favorite of the three. None of these songs are messing around, it's right into the hook, and done before you even realize what's going on.

though I am with Modem, is it too late to change the cover?

It's not too late to change the cover, but specifically what don't you guys like? What would be a better image for the music?

font choice: you've got two serifs from different families on the same real estate

font styling: i can live with a drop shadow 30% of the time, the beveling thing says "rhino records back catalog" in a bad way

color scheme is a bit heartbreaking

overall gestalt is rather uncompelling

im personally a big fan of raw photography-style covers for albums of your ilk, a la:

Thanks, this is great feedback. I'm not the visual art guy, but I think it's important to move forward with an image that people like, not dislike.

This is really bad.

On the positive side, at least you won't be tricking honest people into listening to it with interesting cover art.

that's about a zillion times better.

was the first cover a fake out to make us appreciate the second one?
